The Humane Society of
Navarro County

HSNC History

The Humane Society of Navarro County (HSNC) was established in 1972 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  The HSNC serves the pets and people of this rural community of approximately 40,000 citizens.  Our humane society is not affiliated with any national organization, is solely supported through the generosity of the citizens of Navarro County and functions courtesy of those volunteers who serve on the Board and perform the work of the organization.

Mission Statement

The HSNC is dedicated to promoting the humane and ethical treatment of animals.  This mission includes the reduction of animal overpopulation and abandonment within Navarro County, as well as the placement of adoptable pets in appropriate homes.

Additionally, the HSNC maintains a close association with the City Shelter and local veterinarians and works with City and County officials and businesses

NEED HELP WITH SPAY/NEUTER?

The HSNC shares your concerns about unplanned or unwanted litters, homeless animals and overpopulation.  We are fortunate enough whereby we can offer financial assistance with the costs involved in spaying/neutering.  We also have information on low cost spay/neuter clinics available in the surrounding areas.

DONATIONS

Monetary donations are ALWAYS welcome. All monetary funds are directed toward our low cost spay/neuter program. Additionally, we may purchase items such as pet food to help in need pet owners. All of your donations are tax-deductible.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We love volunteers! Typically, our biggest volunteer opportunity is on Saturdays when we walk dogs at the Corsicana Animal Shelter. We also have other opportunities like set-up for our fundraisers, bagging dog food, and helping stuff envelopes. For a volunteer application and more info, please call us at 903-875-1060, email us at thehsnc@gmail.com or message us on our facebook page.

MEMORIAL|HONORARIUM DONATIONS

A memorial gift is a beautiful testimony to the life of a beloved pet that has passed on and a gift of life for animals in need.

An honor gift is a wonderful way to celebrate a special person or animal in their lives.
