Spay & Neuter Assistance

 

WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING ANY SPAY/NEUTER

APPLICATIONS AT THIS TIME. Please reapply June 1st, 2024.

 

This assistance program is for people who otherwise would not be able to afford to spay or neuter their pet(s). You must be a resident of Navarro County. Applications are processed in the order they are received. Financial assistance will be not be given if tail docking, ear cropping, declawing or any other mutilating procedure is done at the time of the spay/neuter.

Things to Know:

  • Your pet should be at least 5 months old and healthy.

  • Females cannot be nursing at the time of surgery. Nursing mothers must be given at least 2 weeks after their puppies/kittens have been weaned before having surgery.

  • Males must have both testicles descended prior to neuter surgery.

  • If your pet is not well or has health issues, the veterinarian may decline to perform surgery. The cost of rabies or any other vaccines are NOT included with the spay/neuter procedure. If your pet has already received a rabies vaccine, you must be able to provide proof of vaccination otherwise the vet must vaccinate for rabies at the time of surgery. State law requires pets be vaccinated for rabies.

Providing an email address is optional but be sure to supply at least one working phone number so we can reach you regarding your application. The application must be under one name. The name given on the application must be the same name given when the pet is taken to the vet for surgery. Complete the online application or download and return the completed application with any documentation of financial need to the HSNC by one of the following:

Payment Methods

 

Standard copay is $75 regardless of gender, size or species. It is $35 for feral cats.

 

Payment is due to the HSNC after the application is submitted. If you can afford to pay more, please do so as this allows us to continue to help others who also need this service. Our funds are all from private donations and are limited.

 

Accepted forms of payment are cash, check, money order or debit/credit card (VISA or MasterCard), or you can pay

at www.paypal.me/hsnctx 

 

If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give at least 48 hours notice. If you fail to keep your scheduled appointment, your payment will NOT be refunded.

Other Options:

Dealing directly with a low cost spay/neuter clinic may be faster if you can afford their prices.
